NHS FALCON LINE NEWS
The Northwood
High School
Falcon Line
officers
recently
returned from
a National
Dance Alliance
summer camp.
 The camp was
held at the
University of
Arkansas-Little
Rock and
attracted over
300 dancers
from the
surrounding
states.

Congratulations to the 2006-2007 NHS Falcon Line for receiving a
"Superior" rating award and the "Overall Grand Champions" award
at the Lousiana State Fair Competition last weekend!

The Falcon Line officers are Major, Laura Wooten;
Captain, Britney Lane; Lieutenants, Laura Bruce, Emma Ashley,
Andrea Pugh, Kristen Baker, Stevie Batts and Lindsey Evans.  
The Falcon Line is made up of 34 members of the North
Shreveport area.

The Falcon Line officers received the following awards at the
National Dance Alliance summer camp:

 
Technical Excellence Certificate - a daily award presented to
teams that exemplify strong dance and performance technique as
well as improvement throughout the day
Gold Medal – An award in the runoff with overall superb
technique, showmanship, precision and memory in the camp
dance competition

 
Home Routine Trophy - An award for their performance in the
Home Routine Evaluation

Best Technique Overall Award - An award for the team having
the best dance technique throughout the entire week

NDA National Championship Bid



Laura Wooten, Britney Lane, Andrea Pugh, and
Lindsey Evans were nominated as an “All American Nominee”.  
Nominees had to try out for the All-American Team.  
The All-American Team is award to the most well rounded
dancers displaying strong technical and memory skills, superior
projection and showmanship, advanced dance ability, good
physical conditioning, dedication, attitude and leadership.  These
individuals are eligible to perform at various NDA Special Events.  
Laura Wooten, Andrea Pugh and Lindsey Evans
made the All-American Team.
