The 2008-2009 NHS Varsity Cheerleaders
and mascot attended NCA summer camp at
Northwestern University in Natchitoches. All
16 members received an All-American
nomination from the NCA staff. They were
voted on by all squads at camp for the
Spirit Award. This award is given to the
squad who added the most spirit to the
camp.
On the last day, the team competed
against all other squads in their division
and won the Performance Top Team award.
This award is given to the team that
exemplified the best cheerleading
technique, skill incorporation, and
performance ability. The Falcons also
received a bid to the NCA Nationals
Competition and Mrs. Gray (sponsor) was
re-certified as an NCA cheerleading coach.
