Laura Wooten and Toni Kimmell, 12th grade students at Northwood High
School
, were selected as members of the LHSAA All-State Spirit Team.

Students from across the state assembled in Lafayette to perform at the State
Farm Top 28 State Basketball finals over the March 16th and 17th weekend.
The event was at the Cajundome in Lafayette, LA.

Toni Kimmell was selected for the "spirit Award" out of over 500 students at
the performance!
The Northwood High School Falcon Line went to Denton, Texas to the
American Dance/Drill Team National Competition on the weekend of March
30th. There were over 300 performances in the competition.

Congratulations is in order to the Falcon Line for the

Technical Excellence Certificate - A daily award presented to teams that exemplify
strong dance and performance technique as well as improvement throughout the
day.

Gold Medal - An award in the runoff with overall superb technique, showmanship,
precision and memory in the camp dance competition.

Home Routine Trophy - An award for a team's  performance in the Home Routine
Evaluation.

Best Technique Overall Award - An award for the team having the best dance
technique throughout the entire week.

NDA National Championship Bid

Laura Wooten, Lindsey Evans, Britney Lane, and Andrea Pugh were each
nominated for the "All-American Nominee".

Nominees had to try out for the All-American Team. The All-American Team is
awarded to the most well rounded dancers displaying strong technical and
memory skills, superior projection and showmanship, advanced dance ability,
good physical conditioning, dedication, attitude and leadership. These individuals
are eligible to perform at various
NDA Special Events.
